Hello, welcome and thanks for taking the time to read my blog.
So, about me, I’m 36, a mum to two great girls and wife to one of the most amazing men in the world!
My husband and I are entrepreneurs, we started an online maternity fashion company almost 9 years ago. When we started the company we made the mistake of throwing as much money as we could at the business in the hope of getting even more back – big mistake. So, we have spent the last 8 years trying to claw our way back out of the debt we put ourselves in in that unforgettable first year. Lesson learned! The reason I am telling you this is not to garner sympathy, definitely not, I just want you to be able to understand why we do some of the things you will see me writing about us doing (does that make sense?!).
I also want to make it clear that we are not bohemian nor are we hippy throw-backs, or radical environmentalists of any kind. Instead we are a family who have learned to live without the finer things in life (monetarily speaking only) and have embraced a life of thrift.
Are we unconventional? Definitely! Are we happy? Uneqivocally! Would I change a thing? Not in a million years!
I really hope you will enjoy reading about our exploits almost as much as I enjoy being part of them.
